Happy 7th birthday, Finn!

Friday, we picked seven of Finn's closest friends up from school and walked back to headquarters for a secret agent party!

The first order of business was getting through the lasers without blowing up the building. Mission accomplished!!

Next, they had to use a cipher to decode the clues on their treasure hunt

... which lead them to their treasure! Mustaches for all! Because good secret agents know how to be in disguise.

Then there were a hundred bombs (balloons) to defuse (pop)!

Next they pinned the spy glasses on the spy and got their own spy glasses as a reward.

Then came more spy training: lie detecting!

Pizza break and then more spy training. (Spies have to be very prepared.)

And what party would be complete without presents?

Finn received lots of Star Wars, Nerf and Pokemon, as well as basketball gear -- it's like these guys knew exactly what he wanted!

Finally, it was time for cake.

Some kids suck their thumbs for comfort, or their lips or tongues, some chew on blankies. Declan yanks his hair. In the front or in the back, depending on his mood, and always when he's tired and as he's falling asleep. The result of this particular behavior is that Declan now rocks two very unattractive bald spots. 

Today is the second time we've chopped his hair short enough that he can't yank it anymore. 

This time it's documented, and this time we're cutting it every weekend until he stops phantom pulling at the short strands. 

Poor, bald baby.
