Cael's class is going to visit the adjacent retirement community for some trick-or-treating.  Ryan's hoping to sneak in.  He's such a sucker for candy.

Since we opt not to find out the gender of our babies before they're born, we have to come up with something to call them. Cael in utero was Bit, Finn was Nugget, and number three, as you can tell by the subject line, is Sprout.

Of course, this leads to us referring to a three day old baby as a ubiquitous cut of chicken, but it's probably better than spending nine months addressing "the fetus."

And yes, I know it would be easier just to find out the gender, but that would put the yellow/brown/white onesie industry out of business, and we don't want to be responsible for the economic repercussions.

Not an exhaustive collection, as it's harder to find a kumquat than you'd think - and I opted not to buy a turnip or a shrimp just for a photo shoot.

So really this should be titled: Fetus as Produce I Happened to Have in My Refrigerator on the Correct Date.

The best side effect of these belly photos, however, is that Cael learned about the timer function on the camera. He's supplied many a photo of himself since then, but this is the most relevant to the post:
